I wish I could do justice by these pictures, for they really are not capturing how pretty our church looks decorated for Christmas. It is a Winter Wonderland and the lights give it a soft, calming feel that makes you wanna pause and slow down and reflect on Christ's birthday.
Every year, it turns out just a smidge different. This year our children's program will have a "singing Christmas tree" and then the stable will be set up.
We picked up the trees throughout yard sale season and it made for cheap, beautiful décor.
This song has really been on my mind this year, so I thought I would share:
YOUR PRESENCE FOR CHRISTMAS
Author Unknown
In the busy Christmas noise,
All the light, the bells, the toys,
I have found You are the only source
Of comfort and joy.
Lord, I want Your presence for Christmas.
I want Your presence for Christmas.
I long to feel Your spirit speaking peace to my heart.
Of all the gifts I may receive,
There’s only one I really need.
And it’s Your presence,
Your presence for Christmas.
When this holiday is through,
And the year is fresh and new,
What will linger are the moments spent,
My Lord, just worshiping You.
Lord, I want Your presence for Christmas.
I want Your presence for Christmas.
I long to feel Your spirit speaking peace to my heart.
Of all the gifts I may receive,
There’s only one I really need.
And it’s Your presence,
Your presence for Christmas.
In the busy Christmas noise,
All the light, the bells, the toys,
I have found You are the only source
Of comfort and joy.
Lord, I want Your presence for Christmas.
I want Your presence for Christmas.
I long to feel Your spirit speaking peace to my heart.
Of all the gifts I may receive,
There’s only one I really need.
And it’s Your presence,
Your presence for Christmas.

Of all the gifts I may receive,
There’s only one I really need.
And it’s Your presence,
Your presence for Christmas.
May your season be blessed,
Beautiful....wish it wasn't so far away, so we could come to the program.
