WooHoo! This wall is officially FINISHED.
And I am. loving. it.
The new buffet goes so well with the shelves, I'm super thrilled with how it all turned out.
I am crazy in love with these chippy pedestals.
The mercantile sign is from Jenny's shop, Down Grace Lane. I just may have to put in an order for one of her Christmas ones, I can just imagine how cute it would be in this spot!
The original top on this console table was smaller than we liked, so my very handy hubby whipped out a much larger top out of a few boards in no time, cuz he's just awesome like that. It turned out just exactly like I'd imagined it in my head.
The little stools are from Walmart, and were a super cheap and cute way to add some extra seating to our dining room. This spot will be used for so many things, homework desk, buffet for serving food, snack time.... I love things that can multitask!
It's awesome!!
ReplyDeleteWow! This is just my style! This is one of the finest salvaged chippy goodness I've seen in a long time for open shelving! I'm a new follower. I found you from the Cottage of the Month where our home was featured this month.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Sandy!
DeleteVery cute, Brittany! Love it! :-)

I LOVE this! Just curious how sturdy that table is... Did you have to attach it to the wall somehow? (I hate doing that because I change my mind about where I want things) I've got little furniture climbers at my house so that's always on my mind.
ReplyDeleteWe didn't attach the table to the wall, but the feet of it are so large, it would be hard to tip it over. But, with little climbers, you just can't be too careful! :)

DeleteBeautiful! Where did you get the "chippy pedestals"?
ReplyDeleteSo sorry I'm just now seeing this! The original console table was from Amazon, but I don't think it's available anymore - we just added a larger top to the existing top.
DeleteBeautiful! Where did you get the console base??
ReplyDeleteThank you! I got the console table from Amazon prime, but I'm not sure if it's available anymore.
DeleteDid you purchase or make the shelves? I would love some!

ReplyDeleteWe purchased the supplies at Home Depot and built them ourselves. It's a super easy project! You can get the flanges that screw to the wall, then you choose the length of pipe you want depending on how deep of a shelf you're building (mine are 12 inches) Then you buy the little end cap that screws on the end. We had them cut the shelf boards to the length we needed and stained them ourselves. And just to be extra safe we attached the shelves to the pipes with brackets.
DeleteI would also like more info on the shelves too!! So pretty and want them! Also, where did you get the bars that are holding the shelves?

The pipe pieces are found in the gas pipe and fittings section. It's usually available in several colors too. Hope that helps!
DeleteWhere did you get the chippy pedestals? Also, what is the name of the stools you purchased? Very cute!!!
ReplyDeleteI bought the console table from Amazon, but I'm not sure if it's still available or not. I got the stools from Walmart, if I'm remembering correctly I think they were Better Homes and Gardens brand.
