I'm usually not one that likes one wall painted a different color, but I really wanted a navy wall. I knew that it would make the room really small if we painted the whole thing and I didn't want to spend extra money and do the boards halfway up. So, I figured we'd give it a try. That's the nice thing about paint-if you don't like it, you can paint again. However, I pity the person who paints over this color.
We got the bedspread and pillows at Homegoods.
Wes spray painted the dresser. We tried painting it, but the red ended up looking pink. It has a spray paint sheen, but I don't care enough to redo it again. The frames are Ikea's cheap poster frames and have plastic instead of glass-thus, the bad glare.
We were able to shop Wesley's "junk" stash for decor.
The other three walls are supposed to be gray, but they look light blue. Again, I don't care enough to change it. HA! The vintage chalkboard was a yard sale treasure, but since these pictures it has moved to a new home in our school room. Such is the life in our house.
This area is gonna get a revamp sometime...yeah, you know...but, those frames are cheapos and they just don't stay in place. I brought some junk from Wes's and plan to do a gallery wall of some sort.
This room is SO cute! I love the navy wall, and the red framed prints are super cool.
ReplyDeleteThanks, lady-loo!
DeleteI'm not usually a fan of a feature wall either, but I think you have done it right, because that navy wall looks fabulous. The grey walls do look light blue, but that is a good thing, I think. It is a super cute room! You are a very talented lady!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much! You are kind!
